If anatomical causes of back pain or chronicity are suspected, an assessment in a specialised medical practice can lead to rapid clarification of the symptoms. This is where further measures such as diagnostics under the image converter or multimodal pain therapies are initiated. Every therapy in the pain workshop is based on the biopsychosocial modelwhich takes into account the complexity of the multifactorial nature of pain. An individualised pain map also makes it possible to precisely localise the symptoms.

If required, Dr Gall will Diagnostic infiltrations to precisely identify the nerve causing the pain, a procedure that is rarely used in Germany. A C-arm is available for this purpose. Avoiding surgery is possible in the majority of cases thanks to the utilisation of conservative measures.

Has a Slipped disc proved to be resistant to therapy despite classical surgery, a Neuromodulation may be another option. A pain reduction of 82 % can be observed in 50 % of the patients treated. The treatment rate in the pain workshop is over 100 per year. Two systems are available for the procedure.  

Dr Gall only treats pain patients. Your patients will of course be referred back to your practice for treatment of other illnesses.

German pain questionnaire

Important to know: Preparation for the first visit


Dear patients,

As a certified pain therapy centre, we are subject to the quality assurance agreement for pain therapy of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, which applies from entered into force on 01 October 2023.

For you and us, this means that we must work together to ensure that all of our patients receive the German pain questionnaire and later only Fill in progress questionnaires.

We are aware that the German Pain Questionnaire is very detailed and therefore long, which can take up a lot of time and could be perceived as annoying.

Please note that this is a is a legal obligation, which we must fulfil.

This process makes a significant contribution to best possible Quality of care for you.

This task also involves a considerable amount of work for our team, be it in the form filling, analysing or storing the questionnaires.
